Kids can earn a free book just by registering to the program and start earning badges to win awesome prizes such as free meals to Chipotle and Raising Canes, free tickets to Astros baseball games and Alley Theatre’s 39 Steps Play, and more. There are even prizes for pre-schoolers to enjoy including finger puppets, cute Mario Brothers bibs and Children’s Museum passes. PLUS! The top 2 readers at each library location win a grand prize!
All neighborhood libraries are also hosting tons of fun summer programming including exciting video game tournaments, interactive STEM workshops, visits by Texas Snakes & More, and more. Select locations are even hosting the library’s very own free summer camps, Camp STREAM.
Parents and caregivers can read this summer, too. Adults can register to the Summer Reading for Grown-Ups program and earn free admission for 2 to the Museum of Fine Arts, a Kindle or even a Nintendo Switch Bundle for those gaming lovers. Families (1 adult + 1 child) who complete the Summer Reading Program and write reviews for Summer Reading for Grown-Ups will win a Family Prize Pack!
