Texans wide receiver Tank Dell suffered a “minor” injury during a shooting at a Florida night club early Sunday morning.

Dell was one of 10 who were injured in what is being called a mass shooting at a night club in Sanford, Fla, which isn’t far from Daytona Beach, which is where the former University of Houston receiver is from.

The Texans released a statement Sunday, stating they are aware of the shooting and that Dell had been released from the hospital and is “in good spirits.”

We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting in Sanford, Fla. last night,” the Texans said via their X account. “He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in this incident.”

From reports out of Florida, Dell was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office would only confirm that a shooting took place early Sunday at the Cabana Live Nightclub, but the public information officer would not release the names of any of the victims.

The arrest report says that shooting suspect was a 16-year-old and he is in police custody. The report says the minor is being charged with four counts, which includes attempted homicide and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
