Colin Kaepernick was seen throwing a football in Houston on Thursday morning, but it appears that workout had nothing to do with interest from the Houston Texans.
Kaepernick’s agents are Jeff Nalley and Sean Kiernan of the Select Sports Group, which is headquartered in Houston.
Charles Robinson, an NFL reporter for Yahoo, posted a short video of what he said was a 90-minute workout for Kaepernick. The workout took place on a soccer field, and looks like it could be at the Houston Dynamo and Dash training facilities.
So guess which former #NFL player went through a 90-minute throwing workout on a private Houston area practice field this morning?
Colin Kaepernick.
Despite having to duck security, I was able to view the whole workout. He looked good. I’ll have a little something on it soon. pic.twitter.com/gIcbvF1iaD
Robinson said it didn’t appear that any NFL teams attended the workout, which featured a trainer taking a video of the whole thing.
Kaepernick hasn’t played since 2016 when he began taking a knee during the national anthem as a form of protest against racial injustice in the country. In October of last year, Kaepernick filed a collusion grievance against the league after no team signed him for the 2017 season.
