The TSU Tigers announced that Clarence McKinney had been hired as their new head football coach. McKinney is a native Houstonian from Third Ward. He played quarterback at Yates High School and later became the head coach at his alma mater. Known in the profession as an awesome recruiter, he was an assistant coach at the University of Houston, Texas A&M and most recently Arizona.
