State of Black Women Power Hour Reception

Powerful women of influence and success packed the Grotto Downtown Restaurant for a Power Hour Reception. Sponsored by Texas Children's Hospital, the Defender Network, Barbara Jordan Institute at Texas Southern University and HillDay PR, several upcoming events and initiatives were announced at the Power Hour. “Each one of you is making a positive difference in our city,” Mayor Sylvester Turner said. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Rep. Senfronia Thompson also delivered remarks.
