It’s no secret that Houston is loaded with artistic talent of all kinds, covering all genres.

And we’re not just talking about the nationally and internationally known H-Town artists. Many of tomorrow’s “stars” are making names for themselves as up-and-coming artists to be reckoned with.

So, whether R&B, jazz, Hip-Hop or visual arts is “the jam” (I’m telling my age), Houston has artists who will elevate your consciousness, galvanize your “gangsta” and/or align your chakras.

Jastin Martin (R&B) 

Houston-based R&B singer Jastin Martin has garnered attention for her powerful vocals. He has been featured by publications like the Defender Network for carving out her own lane in the city’s music scene.

Another of Houston’s rising R&B talents, Skyrah Bliss, is building her following with a sound that is both distinct and reminiscent of good music from back in the day.

Northside MC KenTheMan is described as a movement in Houston hip-hop, known for her fiery freestyles and albums like 4 Da 304s and What’s My Name.
