The state’s largest pop culture festival, Comicpalooza, recently unleashed a whirlwind of entertainment, activities and artists on the George R. Brown Convention Center. Actors, writers and directors of some of the most popular movies and TV series with a focus on comics, sci-fy, anime, horror and more, were present for panel discussions and personal photos. There was also a film festival, gaming space, cosplay and booths for both established and up-and-coming authors and artists to interact with fans. On hand for the festivities were filmmaker Jumai Yusuf, Shirley Williams, Cardell Williams, Steven King, Michele King, Jessica King, Brittany Brown, Salim Balbed, Lue Trahan, Megan Freeman, Joshua Kemp and countless others.
