Local African-American non-profit hosts golf fundraiser

Arthur and Bonita Billings, Founders of NJB Foundation, are hosting their first annual Halloween Spooktacular Golf Tournament at TopGolf Houston-Katy this Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 5pm.

Since it’s inception in 2005, NJB Foundation has awarded dozens of college-bound males scholarships to assist in furthering their education.

“We are so excited to be partnering with local businesses such as Verts Mediterranean Grill, Young Mothers Don’t Quit, Fredrick Alonzo Films, Health Scripts Pharmacy, Snapology, Laid and Slayed Hair Extensions, and HealthFit Pharmacy to help bring our vision for the tournament to life,” says Bonita Billings, founder and director of NJB Foundation.

Each year, NJB Foundation also hosts “Blessings in a Backpack” in which they giveaway hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in underprivileged communities throughout Houston and the surrounding areas. Their “Help for the Holidays” community service efforts will also benefit from this fundraiser. The money raised on Sunday will help the foundation reach many more children and families than previous years.

Chanel Belle of Chanel Belle Public Relations says, “NJB Foundation does amazing work in the community. With this fundraiser we are starting a new chapter and will begin making an impact on a much larger scale. We are so grateful to have Memphis of 93.7 The Beat’s The Breakfast Club and Blessed Beats radio show attend this event and help us reach more Houstonians.”

The event will be on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at TopGolf Houston-Katy located at 1030 Memorial Brook Blvd. Tickets can be purchased at NJBFoundation.org, on the NJB Foundation Facebook page, or on Event Brite (http://bit.ly/2dFxof5). Each ticket includes 2 hours of game-play, catered buffett selections, bottomless tea, soda, and water, and an entry into our prize giveaway.
