Actress Keke Palmer is officially “Good Morning America’s” newest host. The 26-year-old starred as a guest host on “Strahan and Sara” a while back when Michael was traveling, and most recently while Sara was on maternity leave. Palmer so comfortably filled the seat during both stints, that TV execs have decided to give her a permanent spot on the show. The show will now be called, ‘GMA3: Strahan, Sara, and Keke.’
“It’s been a blast having Keke co-host this summer,” executive producer Rory Albanese said of Keke’s on-air charisma.
“She brings a unique and spontaneous energy viewers love. She’s a multitalented artist, and I’m thrilled to have her join Michael and Sara every day. The three of them are a terrific team, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Sara Haines added, “We love Keke because she stepped up to the plate and joined our family and carried the ball.”
Strahan also praised Keke for her assistance and called her a “gift.”
“What you have done is amazing and we appreciate you. We love you. You add to so much of what we do here. This is not just a gift for us. It’s a gift for America.”
Keke announced the news on her Instagram with an enthusiastic photo of herself, Michael and Sara.
“And then there were three!! Disney was my first entertainment home when I began my career in entertainment. They always created a space for me to take the stage and express my many faces. Here we are again, 15 years later, still growing together . #strahansarakeke — and to add, I love these two @michaelstrahan @sarahaines. Two of the kindest people I know, I’m thrilled! See you both in the morning ”

This isn’t the first time Keke has starred in daytime TV. In 2014, Keke became the youngest talk show host in TV history when she starred in her own show “Just Keke” on BET. She also filled in for Wendy Williams during her absence on her entertainment show.
