The Houston Chapter of Black Girls CODE recently hosted Robot Expo, a day-long workshop that provided girls 7-17 with exposure to all things robots. Event organizer Caitlin LaFleur welcomed the young ladies and volunteer teachers alike to the HCC Southeast Campus where participants learned about robots and how they communicate, engaged in hands-on activities, interacted with sophisticated robots, and learned real-world/business applications and use for robotics. Attendees included Tiffany Harris, Edna Navarro, Khloe Glass, Carrington & Sheridan Burke, Rebecca Ware, Nyssa Korto, Wanjun Zhang, Dominique Rice, Maurice Maltbia, Reese Silas, Alexandria Leassear, Melissa Buie and many others.
