Celebrating five decades of service, SHAPE Community Center held its 50th Anniversary International Cultural Gala. Supporters from near and far gathered at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum to pay tribute to all who have contributed to SHAPE’s success, and to invest in the center’s future. Deloyd Parker (executive director) and Nedzra Ward (board chairperson) welcomed attendees including Dr. Abdul Muhammad (keynote speaker), Rev. William Lawson, Kofi Taharka, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Licia Green, Pastor DZ Cofield & Tori Moore-Cofield, Rep. Ron Reynolds, Dr. Shaka Nkenge, Bola Patrick, Sister Mama Sonya, PK McCary, Anthony Collier, Tanja Simmons, Shondra Muhammad, Dr. Elwyn Lee and countless others.
